Dawn Reactor Bay
The primary reactor array of N.T.S. Dawn.
The reactor bay has a very large breaker switch that shuts the reactor down if used. Due to the immense size of the switch, multiple people are required to shut it down. It is extremely strongly armoured.
Other than this, the reactor array is very difficult to visit due to having a very strict security force preventing malicious individuals form shutting down the entire worldship. It has never happened in banfranal history, but if it was to, it would have a huge effect on Banfranal society, especially the Dawn fleet. Making it nearly impossible to move without putting the Dawn in even greater risk. The Dawn reactor is a massive array of fusion reactors all fed with fuel from a number of large hydrogen tanks positioned nearby. These are also closely guarded, and although presurised the hydrogen is accompanied with other, advanced chemicals preventing the hydrogen from exploding easily, as this chemical causes the reaction to be endothermic rather than exothermic. It is filtered out and reused as fuel is burnt. The fuel tanks are also well guarded, have extremely thick armour, especially between other hudrogen tanks and has a larg enumber of redundant systems and sensors that detect even the smallest disturbances within the fuel. With all of these measures in place, it is unlikely to be destroyed. Some engineers are tasked with keeping the reactors operational almost constantly - almost as if the entire reactor structure becomes their homes. Few engineers are skilled enough to take this role, but although it is extremely time consuming the cultural reward for being in a position ike this is unparalelled.
