Alferun

The Maurayan god of magic.

Alferun is usually depicted hiding in the Core of Mauray, where they hide from other gods out of fear that they will kill Alferun for defying their orders not to give magic to the people of Mauray. They plan to empower the native people and turn them against the other gods of the world. Despite the relatively benevolent nature of the other gods towards it's people, Alferun has managed to empower a number of close followers, those who reach the Core, who often oppose the will of the rest of society (This is not the case, the Core just gives a person heavily enhanced magic powers. This stereotype was created due to Kralax's murder sprees). 

They are depicted as a large, red spherelike object and again, can vary significantly across cultures. Many people say they are hidden under a final, impenetrable barrier along with Yjrine. Many deny this as these 2 gods could not exist peacefully together, other people say that the actions of gods are unknowable to mortals and some have found ways to explain how these 2 gods became friendly towards each other.

However, the people of mauraare not as advanced as that of the HF. The HF can easily test for Alferun's existence, and these tests came out negative. However, the core can seemingly "talk" to anyone viewing it, and they are likely to perceive this entity as Alferun .
