Herimeles, Arch-Priest of Heliod
Herimeles is the only son of Cerester, "The Hero of Meletis", and his wife Norella, a princess of The Woodland Kingdom.
Herimeles was born during the reign of Cleomenes "Elf-Friend", King of Akros, and was therefore a nephew of the king at the time of his birth. However, due to Dorysia never being sceptered as regnant Queen of Akros, he became a member of his father's adoptive House (The Griffins).
Herimeles' father left Akros in 20 BNA, and though he lived for another 15 years, he spent that time fighting in the Xenaxian wars, far away in Meletis. Herimeles was never to see his father again, as he died fighting in 5 BNA.
In celebration of the end of The Xenaxian War, and in recognition of his father's courage and skill (as well as Herimeles' own courage fighting in Akros' 2nd Legion in the north, alongside General Teraklos, of the Second Legion), Herimeles was granted the honour of becoming the chief priest of Heliod within the royal temple in The Kollophon.
This essentially made Herimeles the highest authority within Heliod's cult of Akros.
