The Triumvirate of Oxus
The town of Oxus is run by a triumvirate council of the three wealthiest men who retired to the area. They couldn't agree on a single representative to act as a liaison with Meletis so this council of three was formed. The members are:
- Lambros Chaconallis- A wealthy noble whose family has long lived in Meletis, Lambros retired to Oxus but continues to enjoy conversing with the Meletis Twelve and other nobles to ensure his familiar way of life is not threatened. Has a notable pinkish-brown birthmark over his left eye, Wisdom — perceptive, spiritual, insightful. Plays a musical instrument- he's actually quite good with the lute. Particularly high voice, nasally, and a bit grating. Arrogant. Values tradition and neutrality. In his youth, he was captivated by a romantic interest that was well below his station and his family didn't approve. He went on to continue with the arranged marriage that his parents set up. His wife, Helle, lives with him in Oxus. They have a son, Mathaios, who lives in Meletis as a philosopher and noble. He can be very envious another person's possessions or station.
- Spyridon Primellis- Once a member of the Twelve himself, Spyridon is a typically fair person but is used to a better way of life and wants to be sure that Oxus can maintain this. He is incredibly handsome and a bit of an adonis, enjoying physical activity even in his retirement and later years. Strength — powerful, brawny, strong as an ox. Drinks everyone under the table. Prone to predictions of doom, he's a bit of a pessimist. Friendly, but only to the point of having good manners. Values logic and glory. He is protective of colleagues or compatriots who he's worked with including the present members of the Twelve and those he served with during his time with the Reverent Army. Can be guilty of foolhardy bravery.
- Tasos Sperakis- Very domineering and literally incapable of not being involved in the control of Oxus, Tasos is a retired noble as well but he was also a tactless social climber and known for throwing lavish parties and letting things get a bit out of hand. Has used magic to tint his hair teal. Charisma — persuasive, forceful, born leader. Skilled actor, he performed in many theatre productions as well as ones he created himself, and as a result, he enunciates overly clearly. Rude, no manners, and frequently is far too blunt and drunk. Values creativity and creating happy people. He is drawn to the theater and still throws parties with shows in Oxus. Enjoys decadent pleasures.
