Current Times

Founding

Current Times started as a small tech & trinket store in the small town of Cogwell. The founder, Tide Current, was an aspiring artificer who took on odd jobs repairing warforgeds, creating new weapons, collecting and selling magical trinkets, and other things that would aid in adventurers' quests. Though Cogwell was quite a small town Current Times gained a good reputation among the citizens. At the same time, wealthy elven nobles from the fallen Elven Coalition moved into Cogwell and hired Tide to design auto home defense, upgrade their cars, and integrate a mana home system.

Financial Problems

41 years after its founding Tide got into hot water after upsetting a local elven noble after selling them a defective magical item. The noble sued Tide for 10,000 gold, almost putting Current Times out of business and ruining the reputation that Tide built for the years he's lived in Cogwell. With the birth of Tide's second son, Alan, he worked harder on his business patenting the first arcane peashooter which would be enough to keep the business running and send Alan to a prestigious school in Cogwell. When Alan came back home after being personally trained by professional artificers, Tide decided to put his skills to the test in the shop and had him design some new tech. Alan's designs captured the attention of The Grand Coalition, sending Current Times into an era of invention. As Tide, Alan, and David Current all spent time together building the business into a world-renowned technological corporation.

Era of Invention

After the death of Tide Current, Current Times rushed into an era of innovation. Under the new owner, David Current Current times worked with the government to design weapons, tech, & magical items aiding in defense, and producing them in mass. At the same time Alan Current left to pursue is own personal goals, so David hired the best artificers in the world to aid in the invention of new tech. Currently Current Times is working on designing a generator that would be able to prevent the veil from folding, being capable of stopping a reality cascade.
