The Nosirithi Order

The Nosirithi Order is a sect of Tolvajokism that focuses on using Amora's shadowy gifts to commit misdeeds. Most Nosiriths are members of a thieves' guild, though in some parts of Thelesia the Nosirithian temples are also the headquarters of the local thieves' guild.

Structure

Exarch of Silence, Shadow Master, Black Hand, Master Thief, Guildsman, Initiate

Culture

The Nosiriths are a militarized sect that follows Amora. As such, rank determines much of how an individual is viewed in the organization. Rank is strictly adhered to, and seniority is the next system of determination after rank. The Nosiriths also have a code that they follow to the letter, of which there are four central tenets.   The Nosirithi Code
  1. All shall offer praise and veneration to the Amora, our Lady of the Night, Keeper of Shadows and Concealer of Nosirithi.
  2. None of our humble Order shall harm another of the Order.
  3. Each of our Order is entitled to a share of our collective wealth, and each is required to contribute their accumulations into the coffers.
  4. Each individual shall remain living for as long as they are able in order to facilitate the growth and prosperity of our Order.
  5. Disputes are to be settled by a contest of wit and larceny, unless a petition is submitted for arbitration by the Low Magister.
  6. When presented with an opportunity to benefit the Nosirithi Order, each shall accept the opportunity provided it does not violate another of these tenets.

Public Agenda

The Nosirithi Order does not have a widely-known public agenda.

Assets

The Nosirithi Order is the most centralized of the sects of Amora, with a singular Exarch of Silence that controls the Order. Each branch then has a Shadow Master, which reports to the Exarch on a regular basis. As such, the Exarch knows the exact assets of the Nosirithi Order down to the silver piece.    Financial

History

The Nosirithi Order was founded on Bastia, 5 Ikariyah 13742, 1308 years after Tolvajokism was founded. The founder was a common thief who prayed nightly to a force that he could not name for guidance in his exploits. Eventually, he began to receive guidance from Amora and rival guilds took notice of him. Several assassination attempts were made, but it was said that he had premonitions of those who would try to kill him. After a dozen failed attempts, guildsmen from other thieves' guilds began to come to him for advice and information. He offered his secrets freely on the condition that they join the Nosirithi Order, and thus the organization was born.    The Nosirithi Order has performed countless acts of larceny since its inception, but those that are of the most import are included below:   Successful Operations
  • The Order relieved Celestian, God of Travel, of Skybreaker, the Astral Tempest.
  • The Order infiltrated the ranks of the Asstone navy, placing their own men at the helm of The Falcon, a transporter vessel that was carrying arms and munitions to their invading force on the coast near Baford. The result of this was the Asstoni military failing to establish a launching point outside Baford, and the Order making thousands of gold on the sale of the Asstoni arms.
  • The Order assisted King Morbius in infiltrating the White Palace and killing the then-king of Ziragzig. They also aided him in creating an elaborate system of forged documents that ensured Morbius would be handed the throne of the city after his predecessor was killed.
Failed Operations
  • The Order attempted to infiltrate the Wisterian Colleges of Magicks and Alchemy to steal the original parchment of the Pact of Volorun, but were foiled in their attempt after Mar'Guzryk Khasod revealed himself from the form of a polymorphed mouse.
  • The Order tried to steal the Smith's Visage from Palliholm but was prevented from completing the task when their leader was frozen in place by the twin Halflings Ruby and Scarlet Langham.
  • The Nosirithi endeavoured to interrupt the shipments of the Eclipse Trading Company as their goods flowed from Caminster to Baford, but failed because the shipments were made invisible by Cleo Delacroix, a witch under the employ of the trading company.
