Purifying Light (a.k.a. Lady of Light, Cleansing Fire)

Diedre, like a majority of the Young Gods, rose with Khora as a member of the Sunfire Legion. She served as a cleric of the Old Goddess Iris, and during  the Celestial Fall, she was granted the powers and rank of a Solar under the Starkeeper's direct command. When Maliece was slain and Khora returned to help close the shattered sky, he divided the domain of Light from the Pyrelord's Divine Mantle, manually creating a new mantle, the Purifying Light. Diedre had always been one of the Sunfire Legion's most loyal followers, and had proven worthy of such a responsibility. Pyres blessed by the Purifying Light are capable of destroying magical items and protected spellbooks, and her name is often evoked by anti-arcane factions throughout northern Arith. The Lady of Light does not permit any shadow to manifest, even at the cost of her own followers. It was through her mastery over the scorching power of Radiant magic that Khora was able to purify Asariel of her demonic corruption, and remains the primary commander of Celestial armies when the forces of the Abyss overstep their bounds.
At one point, clerics of Diedre could call upon the domain of Life and had formed their own healing church across the western coastline of Arith. However, at some point during the Age of Kings, they found their healing warmth become a scorching ray of radiant Light, and the healing services she offered became limited to basic cleric spells like other Divine Domains offered. When offering visions to her high priests, Diedre has shed her previous angelic form and instead donned the golden armor of a war general, her face a ball of brilliant light similar to a star.
