Sainthood
In Chantry belief, a saint is someone who lived a life in exceptional accordance or likeness to that of the Maker. Posthumously, the leaders of the Chantry can grant this title to someone to recognize them for the life they lived. Throughout the long history of the religion, only a handful of people have achieved sainthood.
Saints are venerated by members of the religion and their lives are thoroughly studied so others can learn from their actions. They are often depicted in artistry as having a golden halo, or a crown of ivy and flowers.
Achieving Sainthood
The formal process of titling someone as a saint has several stages focused on examining their life and their impacts. Though living a pious and upstanding life can certainly be challenging, the final and most significant hurdle to sainthood is that there must be evidence that the Maker acted through the considered individual. This requires the Grand Cleric and the Divine to agree that at least two important miracles must've been performed through the individual, by the Maker.List of Saints
