Bident of Baharren ((Ba-ha-R-N))

You are my River.
Until I found my River, I was drowning.
My wisdom was foolishness, and my gold was copper.
I needed your waters to cool, what I did not know was burning a hole in my heart.
I long to bath in you again, feel the gentle caress of your soothing waters.
For nothing else is the same, as seeing you again, and drinking you in
-Bahareen, God of Sailors and Merchants and The one without the words to express his love.

Appereance

The Bident of Bahareen is a two pronged spear with its tips made of a seashell arrowheads is body made of gold but coiled in an smoothed emerald trail, it doesn't require cleaning or polish but remains in pristine condition no matter the circumstance as if anything that isn't its wielder touches it becomes water and is absorbed into the spear and cannot be place on the ground for if its not held it will float in air as in wading in the tides.

Bahareen's Crime

Bahareen was the a god of rivers, sailors and merchants, and for as god he was an unusual one unlike his mother the goddess Samak or the rest of the Opelida who live on the Usura. He preferred to walk amongst mortals, Bahareen was known for visiting the rivers and oceans talking with sailors and merchants and giving the merchants guidance and teaching them lessons for their practice ensure that merchants made deals that enriched the world not take from it and that sailors journey wisely with steady hearts and safe winds. When the humans first appeared they were a mystery to everyone. Bahareen curious as he was kind took a liking to these new creatures he guided them to in all the new trades of the world and all of their new oceans and seas, eventually he met a woman she was beautiful, smart and as legend tells had a laugh that could make a flower bloom. Her name was lost to time a failure The Recorded Truth regrets, but through the found poems from Bahareen. In these poems he pored in love and passion where he called her and thus we have called her "River". When Bahareen's mother warned that a great suffering would strike if he continued this relationship, unfortunately Bahareen misunderstood his mother's meaning for he was in love with his river and would do anything for her. So when heard his mother's warning he spent all his time in blissful paradise and ignorance with his river never leaving her side and around them they built a prosperous city and led it like a king with his mighty bident at his side. He used that bident to reverse the streams and the rivers to lead to her village so they could grow and flow too him, and so their city grew it became quite a mighty place but as water flows toward them. The rest of the world suffered from widespread droughts as swamps ran dry and the well were empty. While Bahareen and his River were happy the world suffers, When the other gods of the Usura begged him to stop for the world he'd love so much was in shambles he refused for as long as the water's were with him nothing could happen to his River. To the Opelida Bahareen had forgotten who the gods are Faegor was born to create peace not take for himself, many wonder if that is why they live on their mountain for what Bahareen who loved and became attached to those that lived forsoke his duty to Alyah. Garron, the first born son of Faegor, who's land was hurt most by this and who held his father's inclination for order became furious at his refusal and smash Bahareen's head upon the mountains with his forging hammer. The water's returned to were they belonged and the gods returned to their mountain to live leaving Bahareen's River in tears, Samak couldn't leave the only woman who might ever feel the same grief she felt her with nothing. So she gave her the Bident on the condition it would that it would only be used to share in the oceans bounty and wealth that it provided for being used selfishly was the undoing of her son.

The Imperium's Truth

The Imperial Line claims to be the direct decedents of Bahareen, that their ancient mother was the woman known as River and they hold the Bident of Bahareen as proof. While her name was lost so that no proof of their claim can chronologically verified their line has been the only to be able to wield the Bident and to the Imperium that is enough evidence. The Imperial Line is so certain of their heritage that the spear is left on the steps of the palace and anyone is welcome to make a claim to it, many have tried over the year and all of their screams were heard as their hands became water at its touch and absorbed into the Bident. The Imperium line speaks of its noble purpose to spread the ocean's bounty to all by the words of Samak they drive their campaigns. There are numerous accounts of dangerous storms being cast aside that would have destroy the imperial navy if not for the emperor's use of the Bident but as the Bident was used to wash Merfolk out of their caves in the merfolk genocide many wonder why Samak has not returned to destroy the imperials for the miss use of her gift. The scholars are split on this some claiming she is still too lost in her grief while still others claim it is a sign of proof of their righteous but it remains a mystery in the eyes of The Recorded Truth. As long as the Imperial Navy has had the Bident only one battle has been lost at sea and that was to the Magus and faith in the Imperial Line has been shaken since the defeat, opponents of the throne dictate that the bloodline has become too thin the Imperium will soon fall, though of course the Imperium deny's such claims as so the bident stays there on public display and every so often you'll hear the scream of someone new reaching for the ocean's bounty.
