The Star Sail

Ships of the Angels

The Angels of the Wraith Globe act as the hands and feet of Viabaas and as caretakers of the Wraith Globe in his absence. However, to fulfill this massive task effectively, these celestial legions must have a way to travel across the world. This is where the great Star Sail comes into play. Star Sails are a collection of Adamantite frames and steel fibers making up massive sails. In one smooth movement, the Star Sail can fold from a large yet lightweight 40 ft x 25 ft x 25 ft collection of Adamantite rods and platforms linked to large folds of steel fiber sails reinforced with Adamantine into a massive sailer with a small carriage attached to its back. These vehicles are primarily used by the Angelic armies of Viabaas for the delivery of important messages and the conquest during wartime. It is even said that each Solar has a Star Sail at its disposal at all times.

Propulsion

Although Star Sail can drift for a time on normal winds, the winds their sails require must be far stronger; Specifically, the dimensional winds that can be found in the passageways between the Planes. For this reason, Star Sails cannot easily take off from within a plane. Instead, they are far more suited to longer-distance travel across multiple Planes, spurred on by the collected Astral winds between them.

Weapons & Armament

Although Star Sails can be outfitted with weapons, these armaments usually make the aerodynamics of the sailer bulky and rough. For this reason, the Angelic armies of Viabaas use powerful ranged handheld weapons including spears, javelins, and crossbows while riding Star Sails into battle.
