Wraiths

Wraiths are the creations of The Shadowman, though they can be created by any mage or sorceror willing to use Shadow magic.
There are two main types - sandwraiths and mudwraiths, depending on the base material they are formed from.
A human blood sacrifice is required for the magic to work. The blood from one human can make up to twenty wraiths using the shadow side of Shaping magic to bind blood and dirt or sand together into humanoid forms.
Mudwraiths vary in colour depending on the soil type used. Grave dirt is often used to add extra strength to the magic. They typically have a corpse-like stench. Animated by demons, they are created to kill any target suggested to them by their creator. Human-sized and shaped, they are not fast, but they are relentless.
Sandwraiths are created in a similar way, but the base materials used are sand and crushed insects. They are typically taller than humans, often seven or eight feet, with long, multi-jointed limbs, nipped in waists, and insectile heads with huge eyes and mandibles. They are quick, savage, and hard to kill.
Wraiths can be killed with normal weapons: swords or axes work best.
