Shadow magic

Shadow magic is the use of Innate magic or Learned magic to harm others or to break the natural laws of creation. Often known as black magic, it typically uses demon-lore and blood sacrifices to bend nature.   Examples of shadow magic include:   Necromancy. The art of manipulating death and the dead. Tha Shadowman is a master of the forbidden art of necromancy. Types of necromancy include:
  • the ability to move one's own essence into another body, essentially hijacking their mind and body and living inside the other person.
  • the ability to reform dead body parts of animals and humans into new creations known as gholems. The gholem is then animated by demonic possession. (This ability and the ability described below are twisted forms of Shaping magic).
  •  the ability to bind soil or sand with human blood sacrifices to create mudwraiths and sandwraiths. These creatures are also animated by demonic possession.
  • the ability to bind the souls of the dead to do one's will.
Compulsion. Using mind control to force people into harming themselves or others, either through acts of violence or acts of sabotage or neglect.   Possession. Using demons to possess animate or inanimate objects.
