The Mountains of the Spine

To the west of the Wild Lands and marking the formal border of the World's Edge are the towering peaks of the Spine. This huge mountain range has Qi in abundance at its peaks, but they are harsh cold places. And only a few secluded valleys offer fertile land to support the various barbarian tribes that live in the mountains.
Because of their size and the scarcity of traversable passes only the most determined travellers cross the mountains of the spine in either direction and there are no regular trade routes.
