Notables: The Kingdom of Tiangong

This report is current as of the Twenty Fourth Year of the Rule of Queen Li Mei. And guaranteed accurate by the Wailing Fog Village.   It contains a list of the notable figures in the kingdom of Tiangong.   King Guanyu Fu (193) Mid Imperial Three Stripes (Earth) The king of Tiangong and undisputed strongest cultivator in this region of the World's Edge. He inherited the kingdom of Tiangong from his mother and forged it into an expansive and prosperous nation by incorporating the surrounding independent sects. He is know for his personal strength and wry humor.   Goro Kentarō (75) The Celestial Orrery Half-Step Monarch / Three Stripes (Wood/Lunar/Solar) Grandmaster Goro is the Pillar of the North. One of the four great cultivators who supported the kingdom under the rule of King Guanyu. Of all of them he was favored to become the next king after Guanyu should he die without an heir, though the King's ascension has more or less put that ambition to rest. His sect is the Celestial Orrery. A sect of astrologists who use the movement of the heavenly bodies to predict the future and provide advice to the rulers of the kingdom.   Bao Guiying (55) The House of Bao Half-Step Monarch / Three Stripes (Earth/Metal/Wood) Grandmaster Bao is the Pillar of the South, and the other most likely candidate for becoming the next ruler of Tiangong. She is the matriarch of the House of Bao a clan that specializes in artifice and provides some of the most magnificent of the kingdom's treasures.   Kanon Koji (72) The Five Ferret Sect Half-Step Monarch / Three Stripes (Fire/Lunar/Solar) Grandmaster Kanon is the Pillar of the East. His strength is undisputed, but his place as a bulwark against the kingdom of Baishan means he has little presence at the royal court, and so little chance of ascending beyond his current position. His Five Ferret Sect is the main spirit beast taming sect in the kingdom and supplies what little cavalry the kingdom fields.   Kazuyuki Minoru (69) The Golden Harvest Sect Half-Step Monarch / Three Stripes (Wood) Grandmaster Kazuyuki is the Pillar of the West and oversees the vast rolling farms that provide spirit grain to much of the kingdom. She is rich and powerful, but seems content to tend to her orchard outside the eyes of politics.   Jie Bai (24) The Golden Harvest Sect Half-Step Monarch / Four Stripes (Wood) Jie Bai is the young dragon of Tiangong. Already an equal to the Four Pillars at the tender age of 24 he is by far the most prodigous talent of his generation. He is so young that few have taken his measure and no one yet knows what he plans, but there are many eyes watching his next move.   Jiang Zhi (69) The Jiang Clan Peak Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Earth/Metal/Solar) Grandmaster Giang is the matriarch of the Jiang Clan, and not quite at the level of the pillars. Her clan handles many merchant matters through the kingdom and is likely one of the wealthiest besides the King's own household.   Shinsuke Ryūnosuke (67) The Argent Puppet Sect Peak Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Metal/Wood/Lunar) Grandmaster Shinsuke is one of the most destructive forces in the kingdom. His sect practices the puppet techniques that multiply their strength on the battlefield, and Shinsuke himself is capable of simultaneously wielding three ancient dragon puppets who each have the strength of a grandmaster. Most simply flee when he appears on the battlefield.   Katsurou Kumiko (66) Wailing Fog Ninja Village Mid Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Earth/Water/Lunar) Grandmaster Katsurou is the mistress of fog. No one knows her battle prowess for she is almost never seen outside her village. The only indication of her presence being dead grandmasters or treasures stolen from unbreachable vaults.   Yūri Jing (68) The Inverted Mountain Clan Mid Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Earth/Fire/Metal) Grandmaster Yuri controls one of Tiangong's most foremost resources. The vast Inverted Mountain rift holds countless mines that produce massive quantities of ore that are then refined directly into treasure or exported to the surrounding kingdoms. The grandmaster herself is seldom seen as she prefers to manage her clan and stay out of politics and battle.   Shirou Xun (70) The Crimson Flute Sect Mid Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Earth/Lunar/Solar) Grandmaster Xun is another of Tiangong's terror weapons. Her sect practices a type of mind affecting flute technique that confuses and injures any who hear it. Grandmaster Xun is known as the Silent Flute for no one has ever lived after hearing her play a melody.   Hui Kai (52) The Avalanche Sect Early Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Earth) Grandmaster Hui was once the most famous upcoming cultivator. He advanced rapidly and was making a name for himself as the Boulder Fist. He hasn't gotten worse and is still one of the kingdom's most brilliant cultivators. But he has been outshone by the young dragon who surpassed his entire cultivation in a mighty leap while Hui was still attempting to get to Grandmaster. There is some bitterness there.   Fu He (47) The Cerulean Constellation Sect Early Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Fire/Wood/Lunar) Grandmaster Fu is the kingdom's foremost formation expert. Although she has little ability in combat there are few willing to enter an area that Grandmaster Fu has had time to prepare her formations in. Not that any would attack her as almost every sect in the kingdom is protected by one of the Cerulean Constellations defensive formations giving them a strictly neutral position in the kingdom's politics.   Hong Ten (76) Mossy Boulders Sect Early Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Earth/Water/Wood) Everyone likes Grandmaster Hong. He is old and not very powerful, but he is very very good at making friends. He is welcome at every table and every sect opens their doors to him. He is so personable that the bitterest of enemies would glady set aside their grudges to participate in one of his feasts.   Zan Ru (73) The Swirling Leaf Academy Early Grandmaster / Three Stripes (Water/Metal/Wood) Grandmaster Zan is sometimes called the fifth pillar for she has been the Royal Archivist for King Guanyu for many many decades. All the kingdom's decrees pass through her and her power in who actually gets to present their cases to the King is near absolute. The academy is yet another source of information as its scholars channel huge mountains of scrolls back to her all devouring intellect.
