Sea Singers
Sirens are the dreader musicians of the sea, they are the source of many tales of misery and defeat, and they have given sailers material for horror stories since the beginning of sailers.
Sirens are aquatic beings that use their magical voices to enchant people, and lure them towards them, while dulling their sense of danger or urgency. and then they attack.
Appearance
They long slender bodies, with limbs adapted to life underwater, they have legs that can walk on land just fine, but they have webbing in between their legs, which loosens when they are on land, so they can walk more easily, as well as between their upper arms and their body, they also have webbing between their long fingers, and long flipper-like feet.
They propel themselves underwater using their arms, and they steer with their legs.
They have long claws on their fingers, which they use to rip open their prey, and they have long narrow teeth, perfect for holding on to slippery fish.
Diet
They usually hunt fish, or seals, but their favorite food is mortal, and humans and elves seem to be considered a delicacy to them.
They will do anything to get one of those two on the menu, but they will settle for dwarf if needed.
They have mild regenerative capabilities, but only when underwater, and it is powered by their metabolism.
Song
Against non-sentient prey, they use their song to confuse and disorient, making it easier for them to hunt. This is especially effective against more intelligent creatures, such as seals, and dolphins, while fish often just ignore it.
Range
They are quite widespread, and there are some islands I the southern isles where they are known to have their nests, but they move around.
They are most common on small uninhabited islands, especially in the white sea, but they can also be found in the enyanian sea.
They have since also been confirmed to live in the seas around Armir, where they can be found along most of the west coast.
Enemies
Merpeople are the natural enemies of the siren, Merfolk will aggressively hunt and kill any sirens they come across, and sirens will kill and eat one of the merpeople, of they get the opertunity.
