Onifnechi Fortress

House Onifnechi

The ancient house of Onifnechi settled in this area during the dawn of humanity, their lineage intertwined with the very stones upon which their fortress stands. Through epochs of grandeur and epochs of despair, they have endured, etching their saga into the annals of history. As the oldest continuing noble house in the human world, the Onifnechi name is synonymous with resilience and legacy. Nestled between the formidable sentinels of two towering mountains, the fortress stands as a silent guardian, its formidable silhouette a testament to centuries of strategic fortification. Along the single narrow road that winds through the steep foothills of the black mountains, multiple tall walls, each adorned with thick gates, create a formidable gauntlet for would-be invaders.

The Fortress

Behind the fortress, a fertile mountain valley unfolds, cradling a meandering blue river. This bounty of nature ensures the fortress's self-sufficiency, even in the direst of times. The rich lands have been a lifeline during countless sieges, allowing the nobles of Onifnechi to retreat into the safety of their halls while the world raged outside.

History

During the tumultuous era of the blood wars, Onifnechi Fortress stood as a stalwart bastion against the encroaching vampire hordes. Secure within their walls, the noble house weathered the storm, a symbol of their tenacity. The only credible threat emanates from beyond the valley, where wild mountains are home to warring orc clans seeking to raid the nearby settlement. Yet, even here, the Onifnechi have erected formidable fortifications that have withstood the test of time.

Power Projection

From their commanding seat, the house of Onifnechi has projected influence over the forests at the mountains' feet, especially during times of peace and stability. The fortress, a silent sentinel, has witnessed the rise and fall of civilizations, standing as a living testament to the indomitable spirit of the Onifnechi lineage.
