Stephal Forest
This forest is located in the northern part Dalarn Lowlands, and runs up to the border of Telmar. Fed by the Laynher River, as the forest approaches the coast, it becomes a vast marshland, all but impassable.
The forest itself is thick and uninhabited. There are some trails through the winding trees, but these are overgrown and unkempt. A vast green wilderness lies below the branches of Stephal forest, and many animals and dangerous creatures live within it. Sightings of Bears and Giant Spiders are common, along with larger predators that make their domain in the darker places amongst the trees.
Hidden with Stephal Forest is an ancient ruin; a long-abandoned Elven Temple. It is rumoured that within its walls is a tree with the power to cure all disease. Those that have stumbled upon the temple and survived report strange, fey-like creatures to be guarding it, and a sense of unease rests forever about the place.
