Tergaron

Located in he Dalarn Lowlands just south of the city of Southdale, Tergaron is a small town that finds itself surounded by farmlands. Being close to the major city of the Province, Tergaron often finds itself in the shadow of the centre of learning of The Kingdom of Arden. Despite this proximity to such a large city, Tergaron has made a name for itself, most notably as a beacon for the religion The Church of the Holy Light.

Located to the North-East of the town is a monastery known as the Sanctuary of Rejuvenation. Paired with its large Church (Church of the Benevolent Sister), many come to Tergaron on religious pilgrimages. It is often attributed to the monastery that there is a town located here at all, as the monastery was originally built and the town grew next to it. Despite this, the local populace are no more religious than the rest of Arden, although many do still attend the Church for services.

Government

Despite falling under the typical heirarcy of The Kingdom of Arden, Tergaron does not have a Noble family that lays claim to it. This is largely in part due to the Monastery, who have a large part in the organisation and running of the town. Being of small size, there is little need for an established Lord or Lady, but there is an elected Governor. This official works alongside the Monastery to organise taxes and ensure the upkeep of the land and resources needed by the town, as well as laws and any judicial duties required.
