Personal history
Ji-a Chantel Delisle was born to a Korean woman and a Caucasian-American father who is a Bio-Kinesis. Her mother was a high-powered Outsider career woman who often is traveling on business while her father is a High-School Teacher at Sierra Technical Academy in Clare Point View. Ji-a is often referred to her middle name, Chantel which Ji-a always felt that her middle name suited better her.
During her time in Clare Point View, she became friends with Jesse Vega and Darren Cross in elementary school. Chantel is overachiever when it comes to performing arts as her interests were in dancing, singing, and playing the piano. She is also skilled in Taekwondo, earning her a black belt and adorns nature as she has interests in hiking and animals. Chantel grew up in Clare Point View up until eleven years old when her parents had to divorce for unknown reasons as her and went to live with mother in South Korea for a short time.
While she lived in South Korea, she was scouted by some agencies in the South Korean Entertainment industry for her visuals and extremely good dancing skills since she was very involved in the dancing competitions. She signed onto the agency where she became a trainee to debut in a girl group as the lead dancer/ rapper/English-Foreign representative role. Chantel was also a background dancer for the boy group that the company already debuted making her notable trainee in the K-Pop industry circle. However, her group debut constantly changed their lineups which trainees often get dropped and get replaced quick over four years she has been in the group. Chantel didn’t fit with the newer trainees and group debut date got pushed back often when she got a bit older to debut. Eventually, the company dropped her because Chantel didn’t fit the cute image for the girl group and the company replaces her with another trainee who fit the Korean beauty standards but was a terrible singer, dancer, and comes from a chaebol family. Another reason for the company dropping her is Chantel’s erratic behavior issues which related to her dormant Supernatural abilities and deal with trauma related to an incident that happened when she was eleven.
Her mother knowing full well that the mental health area wasn’t good in South Korea and stigma of mental health was huge. Chantel had to leave return to America to be with her father in Clare Point View to get help. She later then met up with her friends, Jesse and Darren to reconnect and she also took up singing lessons to improve her vocal technique. Chantel, later on, made her return to music as a keyboardist to replace Song Sung-Hyun who left the NorthEasters to attend college and an occasional backup vocalist for the NorthEasters with Darren and Jesse.
In the TSWH series, Chantel gets offers and letters about a group who claim to “help her reach her full potential.” She meets a young man named, Roland Blanchet who claims that The Rise of the Light would help achieve her true destiny. After convincing her, Chantel agrees to go one group meeting out of curiosity to see what they meant about “true potential”,solving the mystery of her odd illness, and the horrible nightmares that continue to plague her for eight years.
