Man

The Halori Empire is fundamentally human. While most other intelligent races are tolerated or welcomed inside its borders, the majority of people that one will meet in Halor are human, barring some regions that are not hospitable to humans or have not traditionally been inhabited by humans.   The Church of the Unsung God has built the representations of its pantheon primarily around human form, so there should be little surprise that humans make up the bulk of its members as well.   Humans are more-or-less equally talented at everything. They can practice magic well across the various schools, are stronger than some races but weaker than others, are of middling intelligence and perceived beauty. They have reached the pinnacle of technology with their steel-making, though this is not a secret to the other races, especially in Halor where humans live (relatively) harmoniously with other beings so long as they worship the right gods.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Consonant-vowel pairs, sometimes with diphthongs or doubled consonants.   Noble humans sometimes, but do not always, have "of" appended before their surname. This is sometimes considered archaic.

Major Organizations

Humans dominate the Halori Empire that has spread across Halor, but they are common all over the world as well.

Talents

Heroic Destiny (2)

For every 10 XP the character gains, they automatically gain 1 Destiny.

Grit (2)

Every time the character gains XP, they are healed equal to one-fifth of the XP they gain (minimum 1).

Versatility (2)

If the character has recently seen another character successfully attempt an action for which they themselves do not have an appropriate Specialization, they may attempt it themselves with a +5 Specialization bonus.
