The World of Othe

The gods and mortals alike reeled from the assault of the Kithik, an alien force that used magic unfamiliar to the universe. With all but their final remnants of the invaders driven off, they must deal with the fallout of the war. Demons conjured to bring their formidable powers to bear against the Kithik now run amok, and the Primordial Gods have begun to reawaken.   The war devastated the people and the land, but they have begun to heal once again. Magic flourishes: once its practice was restricted to the elite, but a need for magicians has brought it into the hands of the common people. Over the course of the past century, inventors in Roltam have been working on fantastic devices in secret laboratories; devices that have been shared far and wide to secure victory. The false gods of Halor have been challenged, and its Empire begins to show cracks.   All these changes bring uncertainty and instability. Ancient artifacts have returned to the world, the old ways are practiced again in the twilight of younger traditions. Heroes are needed now more than ever, but they will rise to take their rightful place.   The World of Othe is a fantasy universe created by Loreshaper Games. It is divided into two product lines: Unsung Gods, which plays up the gothic fantasy elements of the setting and takes place before the events of the Kithik Invasion on the continent of Halor; and Othenar, which plays up the high fantasy elements of the setting and takes place after the Kithik Invasion has been repelled.
