Karsynide is the main ingredient for any magical implants or magical technology, and more and more things are learned about it al the time.
It can be alloyed with some other metals, and it can also bond with sodium and carbon.

Karsynide Oxide (KaO)

Scientific Name: Karsynide Monoxide
Bond Type: Ionic

The most common form of Karsynide is its oxidized form, which can then be found on planets and asteroids as ore.
Karsynide Oxide naturally glows faintly, but the glow is in UV light, so most species cannot observe it unaided.
In this form, Karsynide is quite useless, it needs to be purified and processed to be useful.

Kardyne

Type: Alloy

Kardyne is a Karsynide-Gold alloy, which is very useful for conducting magical power, which is its main function.
The Kardyne enhances the functions of gold, it makes it even more maleable than it already is, as well as making it much stronger. Gold is fairly weak, and its thin strands are easily broken, but not when combined with Kasynide.
This is useful not only in implants, but also any other kind of technology that uses magical energy.

Karlyte (NaKa)

Scientific Name: Sodium Karsynide
Bond Type: Metallic
Appearance: Crystals, naturally clear and transparent.

Karlyte is a sodium-karsynide salt, which forms naturally in pockets. It is soluble in water, and when the water evaporates, it forms very strong crystals, much larger than for example, table salt crystals, which are quite small.
Impurities in the salt can change its color, such as iron, which makes it red, carbon, which makes it black, cobalt for blue, and many more.

These crystals are used for the creation of hard light.

Karyndimyte (Kd(NaKa)₃)

Scientific Name: Karyndium Trikarlyte
Bond Type: Ionic/Covalent (Polyatomic)
Appearance: Crystals, naturally foggy and transparent.

Formation: Kd+3NaKa = Kd(NaKa)3₃

This is the cousin of the karlyte crystal and have a very simular appearance, however, they don't create hardlight, but firelight, using any kind of energy. For a long time they were powered with electricity, but more modern versions use magical energy, stored in Kyskedic quartz.

Karcoal (C₂Ka₃)

Scientific Name: Carbon Trikarsynide
Bond Type: Ionic

This carbon-karsynide bond i a deep black, and it can be used to create magical flares. This is usefull for masking the pressence of magic, or faking the pressence of magic.
Karcoal has an ignition temperature of -20 degrees Celsius, making it very hard to prevent it from igniting.

It can burn using various different materials, it can burn Hydrogen, liberating the Karysnide, and producing Ethane gas (C2H6).
It can also burn Oxygen, liberating Kasynide and producing carbon dioxide.

Karcoal combustion with Oxygen: C₂Ka₃+2O₂ = 2CO₂+3Ka
Karcoal combustion with Hydrogen: C₂Ka₃+3H₂ = C₂H₆+3Ka

Karcoal is not a naturally occurring material, as it will burn any chance it gets.

Green Karsynide (Ka₂SiO₃)

Scientific Name: Karsynide Silicate
Bond Type: Ionic
Appearance: soft green crystals, glow under magical charge.

Green Karsynide forms when silicate and karsynide are joined under great heat.

Formation Reaction: 2Ka+SiO₂ = Ka₂SiO₃

Function:
Green Karsynide crystals have the ability to communicate with each other using magical energy, there are multiple ways for them to do this.
This is one of the fastest ways of sending and receiving messages, although the technology is still evolving. This is because magical energy doesn't follow traditional rules for travel speed.

Karsynide messaging

The first is a broadcast, this can be tuned to certain frequencies, and it will only reach other crystals if they are on the same frequency. Crystals made for this purpose will by more bulbous, and generally bigger.
The second is to message a specific crystal, this is done by programming a certain receiver code, like a galactic phone number. Crystals ade for this purpose are generally long and narrow.

All of these crystals require guidance from a connected magical computer system, which programs things such as receiver code and frequency.

When interacting with magical energy, they glow violet, when making contact with another crystal, they glow green.

Advanced Systems

The computer systems can also be programmed to encrypt and decrypt messages, as well as block certain senders, based on their sender code, however, sender codes are only included in commercially available systems, and clandestine ones might not have one, however. This would mean that they can't receive directed messages.

Magical Detection

These crystals can also be used to detect magical energy, when in contact with sound, they vibrate, and cause the ambient energies to glow faintly, making them visible
They can also be configured to map movements in the magical energy field, which can be used to detect mages, or peoples capacity to do magic.

Kardyne and Karlyte

These two compounds are used in many cybermagical implants and other technologies that use or deal with magical energy.
Kardyne due to its conductive properties, and karlyte due to its ability to turn magical energy into hard light.

Karyndimyte

This crystal is simular to the karlyte crystal, however, instead of hard light, it creates fire light, a much more volatile and dangerous substance.
This isn't useful for mages, but it is used to create blasters. These weapons shoot this firelight, which is a most effective way to kill people.

Firelight can be configured with magical chips to take on different forms and shapes, to a certain extent, which allows for the creation of different types of blasters.
Firelight is unstable, but because it is a type of light, it can be propelled to travel very quickly, very easily. It isn't affected by gravity, and doesn't experience drag from air. However, it will be stopped by any kind of solid, however much damage it deals to it.

Fire light usually erupts into a small , localized explosion on impact, or it becomes very hot and disintegrates, this depends on how it was programmed by the weapons chip.
Firelight can also be programmed to explode more dramatically, but this makes it draw much more power, and it becomes less accurate, its range is also affected.

Green Karsynide

This crystal has seen wide use, and it is only becoming more popular as the technology is further developed, due to its extreme communication potential.
