Commander Arthur Dawn (a.k.a. Goldfire, Trollsbane, or The Blade of the Council)
Currently serving as the Red Spear for the 2nd Spears of I'lera, Arthur Dawn is known to be the greatest warrior in the Kingdom of I'lera. A half-orc orphan at birth, Arthur was taken into the care of the renown I'leran huntmaster Thrain Galatine, The Silver Hound, to serve as his ward until joining the 2nd Spears. He quickly rose in the ranks due to his impressive talents and skill as a loyal soldier. Eventually while taking a holy pilgrimage into the wild, he returned with the legendary artifact of Lathander, Dawn's Might. He forged the blade into a spear and took the weapon's name as a surname along with the command of the 2nd Spears.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
As leader of the 2nd Spear, he is in excellent physical conditions, boasting a strength and agility few others can match. He is stout for a man his size, but every inch of him is cut to perfect the fighting style he has spent decades mastering.
Body Features
He is shorter than most Half-Orcs and has very Human looking characteristics like skin complexion, lean muscle, blonde hair, and general facial structure. The thick tusks, broad shoulders, and scarred body from a life of combat however marks him as one with the blood of Orcs.
Identifying Characteristics
His golden blonde hair is almost as well known as he his. He also has a large scar on his back from a crocodile bite.
Apparel & Accessories
Rose Shield. The circular shields of the 2nd Spears decorated with the I'leran Lotus (often mistaken for a rose).
2nd Spear's Uniform. Roman gladiator type with a bit more coverings made of hide, usually from wyverns or dinosaurs.

Dawn's Might. The legendary blade of Lathader that Arthur has crafted onto the end of a metal rod to create his iconic spear of light. The spear bursts forth a brilliant blade of radiant energy at his command and is a bit longer than most spears.

Personal history
Raised in an orphanage in Camp Rhame for several years in his early childhood, he was eventually adopted by the huntmaster of a local guild to serve as a ward. He soon joined the 2nd Spears of I'lera in one of the most decorated squads the group have seen, The Thorns. After several successful missions, he would eventually be granted a vision from the God, Lathander, urging him to seek out his sacred sword. After a month of searching, he returned with the weapon just in time to fight in the undead invasion of Legaeth.
Education
Thrain Gelatine had Arthur educated for the brief time he spent with him, but most of his education comes from his years of training with the 2nd Spears. This knowledge deals mostly in battle tactics and strategy, geography of the isle, and knowledge of various dangerous monsters in areas around I'leran settlements.

Mental Trauma
Much of the sheer destructive power of the armies of undead during the invasion pushed many into a fervor of righteous action, including Arthur. Having left home to fight, he returned with many memories of the horrors a powerful necromancer can inflict on people.
Intellectual Characteristics
Not the brightest academic, but a clever and versatile combatant and an even more devious general. He prefers to fight his enemies a bit to gain knowledge on them before retreating to form a solid battle plan, relying on the strength of him and his companions to do so. Many a powerful foe have fallen to his well thought out plans.
Morality & Philosophy
Like all members of the 2nd Spears, Arthur hold loyalty to I'lera as a top priority and the defense of the citizens as his highest calling. As the greatest warrior in the realm, he sees his job is to stand between the forces of chaos and the stability of civilization. He resects those who follow similar codes and and tends to resent those who follow no higher powers but themselves.
