Hog Rats

Hog Rats is a medium to large sized rodents that are a variety of rat commonly found in large cities, caves systems, ports, and some large boats. They characteristically have a sharp snout, large jagged ears, and a long and hairless tail. This strange variety of rats gets its name because the average hog rat is the size of a fully grown Hog. Hog rats strike fear into children and those who are not prepared due to their terrible bite. Some hog rats have a strange mutation in their saliva that causes a nasty infection. Named long ago, Hog's Scare is an infection that infects those who are bitten by animals who contract Hog's Scare. The Hog's Scare got its name because those who contract it go mad. Father Thandir Osathas the Wise did a study on Hog Rats and the bodies of those who have contracted the infection.
