Ludan of the Wyld (Loo-dan)
For two centuries, Ludan has toured the world exploring the chain of life and serving nature where he could. Over the past couple decades, he had secluded himself as he meditated on his actions with his old friend, Erfiell, the Treant of Gulthias. He has now come to the conclusion that he let his friendship and brotherly love for the treant compromise his judgement. He thought that with his age he would not live long enough to correct his lapse, but with the news of the twigblights and other corrupted plants reaching his ears, he now slowly pushes forward to return to the island where he left his friend, sacrificing his memories of the past to continue his life just a little bit longer.

Personal history
Ludan was born into a tribe of barbarians who lived in the harsh wilderness of The Continent of Enon. His people were known for their ferocity in battle and their deep connection to the natural world. From a young age, Ludan was trained in the ways of the warrior, learning to fight with swords, axes, and bows. However, Ludan always felt a deep reverence for the natural world. He spent his free time exploring the forests and mountains around his village, learning the ways of the plants and animals that lived there. He often felt more at home in the wild than he did among his own people.
As he grew older he became a great warrior if the barbarian tribes, well known as one of the most fiercest and dangerous foes of the land, however, Ludan began to question the way of life of his tribe. He saw the damage they were doing to the land, hunting animals to near-extinction and clearing vast swaths of forest for their villages. He also witnessed the devastation wrought by other tribes, who waged brutal wars over resources and territory. Ludan began to feel that there must be a better way to live, one that was in harmony with the natural world rather than at odds with it. He left his tribe and set out on a quest to discover a new path. For many years, Ludan traveled alone, living off the land and studying the natural world. He learned to identify plants and animals, and he became adept at surviving in even the harshest environments. He also began to develop a deep spiritual connection to the natural world, feeling a sense of peace and belonging that he had never experienced before.
One day, while traveling through a forest, Ludan encountered a group of druids. He had heard of these mysterious people before, but he had never met one in person. The druids welcomed him and invited him to stay with them, teaching him the ways of their order. Ludan was fascinated by the druids' knowledge of the natural world, and he quickly realized that this was the path he had been searching for. He began to study under the druids, learning their magic and philosophy. He also discovered that his warrior skills could be put to use in defense of the natural world, protecting it from those who would seek to harm it. Over time, Ludan became a skilled druid in his own right. He learned to communicate with animals, control the elements, and heal the land. He also became an advocate for the natural world, traveling far and wide to protect it from those who would do it harm. Though he had left his tribe behind, Ludan had found a new family in the druids. They became his closest friends and allies, and together they worked to preserve the natural world for future generations. Ludan never forgot his roots as a barbarian warrior, but he also knew that he had found his true calling as a druid and protector of the natural world.

Failures & Embarrassments
Ludan fears that his actions have irreversibly disrupted the balance of nature and that he might not be able to atone for them before his extended lifespan ends. Despite his age wearing on him, Ludan has chosen to expunge his memories to rejuvenate his waning energies. This act is his final gambit in returning to the island, to confront the unintended consequences of his past decisions and correct the wrongs that his beloved friend, inadvertently or not, may have had a hand in spreading.
