Temuri, The Queen of Stars

"Where the twilight grove grows, and the stars fall from the sky, the Queen of the Starlit Fae plays in the vale of untouched youth, the Forest of Dreams..."

Author: Arynne Nicholson Illustrator: Al Firdausi

The Starlit Queen Temuri

Temuri, the Star Child, or the Queen of stars, is the youngest of the Tent Divine. She is a fickle being who enjoys toying with the plights of mortals, especially those with ill intent. Temuri has been known to walk amongst the world of mortals, finding their mundane world fascinating for those who lives are so short, playing practical jokes on the unsuspecting. Though known commonly as a watchful protector and leader of the Starlit Fae, Temuri is a youthful spirit who loves children most of all, as their prayers are the most creative of all of Eyre's creatures.
Her answers are represented by shooting stars that fly across the sky. Thus, filling the unsuspecting child with joy that the Starlit Queen has heard them. Shrines to Temuri are built in obscure and often hard to reach places all over Eyre as to please the childlike nature of the goddess. Temuri is depicted as a shorthaired blue four-winged seraph with the body of a young female child that wears a mask of deep blue and silver. Wearing a dress of midnight gossamer, this beautiful goddess reflects the aspects of the deep blue colors of the night sky. Her eyes reflect images of the stars that lie in the heavens above, gleaming and sparkling with everlasting beauty. Clerics under the faith of the Queen of Stars are an enigma, being that they are so few and serve a purpose as unclear as the intentions of the goddess they serve.

The Forest of Dreams

The realm of the Queen of Stars, Temuri plays in a star filled glade of wondrous beauty. Bordering the sunlit forests of the Fields of Glacia, the Starlit Queen's domain is covered in an endless sea of twilight. Tales speak of portals deep within the forests of Delphine, hidden within the thick brambles or thickets that could connect to Temuri's realm. Children would recount seeing endless stars as they passed through to this beautiful realm, sometimes even playing games with the Queen herself. Lost children abandoned within the forest are rumored to become part of the fae courts as new additions to the Queen's family. Faelings, faeries and other small fae are protected by the realms secretive barriers that are unseen by mortals upon reaching adolescence, marking their transition into the ways of the adult world. Adults that never lose this ability are heralded as the Star-Touched, possessing great skills of imagination, and serve as guides into her plane of dreams.

The Kindred Stars

When the heart of the child lays uncorrupted by the changes of adolescence and the knowledge of maturity, the child grows with the ability of the Star-Touched, the sight of the fae realms under the material. A Star-Touched adult can choose to follow the path of the Starlit Queen, seeding whimsical chaos throughout the material plane of Eyre. Labeled as apprentices of entropy, the Kindred Stars live turbulent lives, much like their child counterparts. When channeled positively this faith can be used for good, but if the follower were abused since childhood, this influence would twist their fantasy into a dystopic malice that would strike fear into the hearts of many.

'Who goes there!', the thief cried, hastily pulling out his sword and dagger, to see that they had been replaced by a stick and daisies.
