Belamy, The Nurturing Soul

“The Queen of the Sunlit Fae rules with a beautiful majesty, it is said that her kindness is an ever-flowing river of prosperity to those that respect her...“

The Sunlit Queen

Deep within the forests of Olysse, legends speak of the magicals springs that could heal any disease, and cure any ailment to those in need. These pools are thought to be the tears of the Goddess Belamy. The goddess of fertility is a kind and gentle spirit, tending to the groves of Glacia, a verdurous plane outside of the material realms of Eyre. Glacia is filled with fruits, plants and flowers whose size ranges beyond mortal comprehension. The Green Pillar’s wild and untamed beauty is matched only by her gorgeous, well-kept gardens that stretch across her elegant plane. Archfae from across the realms travel to this everlasting paradise to stay within Belamy’s lush haven.

The Court of Blooms, her secretive kingdom, manages the order of over all other Fae that come and go throughout the Faewild. Along with her sister, Temuri, the Court of Stars and the Court of Blooms oversee the vast majority of all fae life on Eyre. Mortals call for Belamy’s love in times of hardship. They pray to her for plentiful game and crops and pay their respects as they accept her bounty. Belamy is thought to have given the gift of natural medicine to mortals, allowing them to create balms, potions, and healing agents that would ail the sick and injured. Clerics, paladins, and druids of this faith revere nature heavily and are widely known for their superior healing ability, they respect the natural world and will defend it with their life. The Watchers of the Tree of Mystralath are rumored to be able to speak with Belamy in times of great danger.

The Tree of Mystralath is Belamy's connection to the material plane. It is stated in the Druidic Gospel, that before the goddess of Green Light had left the world, she planted six seeds, these seeds became the forests we know today, originating from the Trees of Youth. The Tree of Mystralath has been taught by generations of Olysse's people to be one of the six Trees of Youth, with flowers that bloom once every thousand years. It is said that if one were ever to consume the petals of a Flower of Youth, they would never age, becoming young forevermore...

As a mother, Belamy is thought to have birthed all of faekin in to existence, including Baeqineldth, father of all elvenkin. She is prayed to by mothers for successful deliveries and healthy children. She shares a love for Extus, her former lover with whom she had created her Elven son. Now married to Bofdak, she is thought to be the mother of the first giants, the Primal Praxes. Her ancestral fae blood courses through their veins, coining the term "Fomorians" by common folk.

The Watchers of Mystralath

“From the time that the first leaf fell, and the trembling earth shook the valley, as the first rivers began to trickle into the ancient vale, we were here. We have ‘always’ been here…”

  – Excerpt from the Druidic Gospel of Mystralath   One of the oldest clans to survive the War of Unification, the Watchers of Mystralath keep an arm’s length from civilization, only to communicate for trade, or to send ambassadors to speak on social affairs. A shaky alliance between the Fomorian tribes of the mountains, the Wood Elf and Firbolg Druid Circles of the Velnycian woods, and the Orcish Nomads of the Karash plains, the Watchers seeks to prevent invasive species from contaminating their precious lands and preserve the natural balance of their world, by any means necessary. This lack of restraint causes the watchers to occasionally come to blows with other factions and are often represented as harsh and savage. They are led by the current Ancient One, Tehyava Ualan, a long-lived Druidess who has been claimed to have imprisoned Haithe, the Night Mother of Atolis who had nearly brought Olysse to ruin during the Battle of Three, leaving a permanent scar known as the Crystalis plague.

"'Take only one...' The gentle voice spoke. I plucked the apple from the tree. It was gorgeous, the vivid red color was speckled with yellow-green dots. It had tantalized my appetite. The enticingly sweet smell was intoxicating, I attempted to take another fruit from the tree 'What happens if I were to take another?' I asked, my hand hovering the fruit with hesitation. 'Oh... I wouldn't try to do that...' the voice replied. I looked closer at the second fruit, barbs dripping with a noxious green liquid began to protrude from the fruit, something I swear I didn't see before. So this was the power of the Sunlit Queen..."
