A shadowy faction operating within the Jhornan port town of Aramore. In secret, they rise against the Holy Praetoria, seeking to wrest control of their city back from the hands of those who enforce a strict and oppressive regime.
A Beacon on the Shore
The group was founded on the legend of the "Revenant of Aramore," a martyr who defied the Praetoria's rule a century ago. At the heart of the Revenants' operations is their elusive Matriarch, Ecrena, a figure as mysterious as she is formidable. Ecrena commands the group with a calculated mix of determination and secrecy, ensuring that their actions remain hidden from the ever-watchful eyes of the dark paladin order. Under the Matriarch are the three Seekers—Dyrlis, Remil, and Alaric. These individuals act as the shadowy militia’s eyes and ears, spreading throughout Azovar on clandestine scouting missions. All other members of the Revenants are regular citizens, well-trained mercenaries, and even former, now disillusioned members of the Praetoria.Shelter from the Storm
The Revenants' hideout lies beneath the Monster's Milk, a popular local tavern that has long held a rule barring the entry of Praetorian enforcers. This safe house, concealed beneath the lively establishment, allows the Revenants to plan their operations undisturbed. The faction’s insignia, as depicted on the Matriarch's sacred tome, features a raven with wings spread wide, soaring over a blade—a powerful symbol of their dark vigilance and their intent to rise from the ashes of oppression.Search and Rescue
With the Departed's arrival in Aramore, and their brash display of opposition towards the Praetoria, Ecrena decides to enlist their assistance in an important matter: a rescue mission with a hint of vengeance. Learning their own have been captured, the Departed accept. Laying out the specifics to the Departed, Ecrena and the Revenants eagerly await to bring the wrongfully incarcerated back home. The Matriarch has requested additional assistance from the Departed afterward, should they survive the siege.
