Steppe is the primary language shared by the Yilt.

Common Etiquette rules

Respect is given to the Khan, the Family and the Tribe in that order.

Common Dress code

Usually the light leathers or slightly heavier steel lined plate. All must be prepared for the battle to come.

Art & Architecture

This is not their way, their 'art' is displayed in battle and in the efficacy of their war.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

One is marked with the dust of the Steppe, the Blood of their mother and the Milk of Life.

Coming of Age Rites

They show they are worthy of the tribe or become outcast, Enchi.

Funerary and Memorial customs

All are returned to the dust of the Steppe.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

The Yilt do not put stock on beauty as it stands but are impressed by endurance and vigour.

Gender Ideals

No one is bound by there gender all must contribute to the clan or be left behind.

Courtship Ideals

Arranged marriage is traditional decreed by the Khans or shamans to bring strong healthy offspring.

Relationship Ideals

Family units are expected and are large but form around a single matriarch and patriarch.

Major organizations

The Khans of Horn and Eagle hold these people the most but they exist in all the Khanates.
