Channeler

Channelers are witches who are born without powers of their own, but with the ability to channel and harness the powers of other magical beings through touch. when touching another magical being their absorb that being's power and can use it while touching them and for a limited time afterwards - the strongest recorded channeler was able to hold onto and wield the absorbed magic for three days before it drained away. Most channelers can only hold onto the absorbed power for approximately one hour. They can channel power from any magical or supernatural creature, not just witches (where a channeler has absorbed power from a shapeshifter or werewolf, if the power runs out while the channeler is in animal form, they will immediately and automatically return to their human form). Channelers must make physical skin-to-skin contact in order to begin channeling, and while this contact is being made, the magical being that is being channeled is immobilised. The longer that this physical contact is maintained, the longer the channeler will be able to hold onto the absorbed magic.
