The first witch in her line, Annabel had the power of tactile telepathy, or the ability to read a person's thoughts when she was touching them. By simply laying her hands upon a person she was able to hear what they were thinking at that moment, but when she placed her hands on either side of the person's head, palm to temple, she was able to rifle through their mind to find out specific information.
