Vexeldi Species in The Witch-Star Theorem | World Anvil

Vexeldi

The Vexeldi are flamboyant, plain and simple. They seek attention and glory in everything they do, much to the annoyance of most around them. But can you truly blame them? What better way to secure a mate and by extension your legacy, then fame making your name known to anyone in earshot?   Often developing their own 'style' with a combination of colors and stand out clothing options, the Vexeldi genders are each in their own respective games of outdoing each other. Doing everything in their power to acquire a mate. This, of course, doesn't translate well with other species in most cases. Just remember, if a Vexeldi is showing Bravado around you, it's usually a sign of affection as opposed to a challenge or attempt to put one over on you.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humanoid and bimanual, they are a decidedly thin species. Little muscle development overall, with thin bone structure. Despite common myth, they do not have hollow bones, but their bones are indeed less dense than the statistical average.

Genetics and Reproduction

Despite an avian heritage the Vexeldi give birth to live young, though often in batches of three to four twins at the same time. Their gestation period remains similar to that of humans, keeping their populations from exploding.

Growth Rate & Stages

They grow at an average rate, reaching physical maturity at around the age of twenty.

Ecology and Habitats

They prefer a temperate to a hot climate. Preferably next or on the water
