Kasjo
A sect of warrior poets, they often wander away from their home planet to find a place that they can call their own.
All deadly warriors in their own rights, they fight for themselves and themselves alone. No amount of leverage can get them to break their oaths or betray their bonds.
Career
Qualifications
At it's most base, one can be considered part of the Kasjo by reading the The Ijigu , accepting it's lessons, and living by them.
Of course, most of that Kasjo wouldn't accept some random schmuck trying to enter into their business after just closing the book. More often one has to study under another that is well studied and far more knowledgable in the Ijigu and it's lessons. At minimum, it can take a few years and in more extreme cases can go for a decade or more.
Career Progression
While there is no idea of progression within the pages of the Ijigu, and in it's eyes there isn't technically even a group at large or any sort of leader, one can advance in the orders and groups that form within the Kasjo.
Formed by individuals that have matching ideas on the lessons of the Kasjo, they can range anywhere from a few dozen members to thousands or even tens of thousands of likeminded individuals. Each with their own structures and rituals, they certainly can vary a great deal.
Payment & Reimbursement
While they have their lessons and sense of decorum and honor, the Kasjo are, at their core, mercenaries. They are rewarded, usually handsomely, for their exploits. Even when not specifically on contract, they will often accept rewards of food or lodging as their just due.
Other Benefits
Even if they never achieve fame or renown, a Kasjo is elevated in the society of the Chikiosa to just below the highborns of society.

Tools
Most famous for the Alnos, every Kasjo has one. Familiar in its operation, their craft is beautiful to see. Prizes swift movement and fluid action, giving the Kasjo a truly dance-like appearance in battle.
Dangers & Hazards

Military
Demand
In great demand, despite their large numbers.
Legality
Legal everywhere does not mean welcome everywhere. After all, most governments aren't too happy to have foreign mercenaries wandering around their territories, even when they are ostensibly doing good.
