Borisin
Borisin is a horse...a remarkably intelligent horse who seems quite capable of understanding Arnorgue spoken to him. He is also able to communicate with Rudiger using some form of telepathy. However this only seems to work with Rudiger or at the very least, Borisin chooses to use it only with Rudiger. What makes Borisin different from any other horse is unknown.
Borisin is huge and intimidating. He is experienced with riding into battle and has the scars to show it.
Borisin can be very vain and arrogant. He does not like anyone other than Rudiger riding him, and always finds something wrong with the service at any stables he has to spend time in. He has a wry sense of humour and will frequently poke fun at Rudiger in the way only best friends can.

History
Rudiger frequently gets exasperated with Borisin, but loves the horse dearly nonetheless. While Borisin doesn't seem to show much affection for Rudiger, it should be noted that he doesn't treat Rudiger badly, which is better than he treats anyone else, indicating the level of his actual affection.
