Sanctuaries Technology / Science in The Wild War: Anathema | World Anvil

Sanctuaries

Like the teleportation circles, their are a combination between magical and classical technology. Their fonctionning like the teleportation circles, disassemble and reassemble the particules of the subject.   The difference is that the sanctuaries took a "backup" of the subject before he died. Every members of the Homeca's army are equipped with a "save gem". She is links to the Sanctuary and serve as a memory. She register the state of a subject with a time offset. Then when the subject die, his body is disassemble and reassemble in the stat in the save gem inside the nearest sanctuary. The memory he had between the save and his death is lost during the processus.   Unfortunately, if a citizen die, he will not reappears inside the sanctuary because he need a save gem. Its impossible to make a general save server to all the population because she is fluctuating. The links between the persons and the gems cannont be change so easily and the numbers would be too enormous and the number of death too.   With the classic technology, it is possible to create a server room and store all the datas. Unfortunately, it is impossible to put the essence inside a server. Conclusion, the technology cannot do exactly the same things that the magic.
