Dwarf

They are small, sturdy creatures, distinguished by their smiths, miners and builders. Dwarves are small humanoid creatures. They are sturdy, make excellent fighters and have great resistance to hunger and pain. Their average life expectancy is 250 years. An important aspect of their physique is their beard, which they never shave and which is worn by both men and women.
The Dwarves are a proud, closed and secret people, but they sometimes teach their knowledge to other peoples with whom they have good relations, most often trade. Because they live mainly underground, the Dwarves are not very fond of agriculture and breeding, preferring to trade with other breeds to obtain these goods. They are said to be loyal friends, but resentful and tenacious adversaries, who never forget neither an insult nor a good deed. Their avarice is also reputed and forms one of their weak points, by which they are corruptible.
The Dwarves mined and worked the precious metals and stone present in the mountains with consummate talent from their designer, Zatiann. Travellers describe gold and precious stones as the toys of the Dwarves and iron as their servant. The Dwarves are also great blacksmiths, creators of many famous weapons, such as 7 of the sacred weapons of the Longinus. Dwarves are known for their predilection for the axe, but they also use swords and bows.
Dwarf women have rarely been seen by other races, as they rarely leave the dwarf cities and so closely resemble their husbands, including beards, that it is impossible to distinguish them.
Dwarves constitute only a third of the total population, and barely a third of male dwarves enter into marriage, which is indissoluble. Others, whether they want a dwarf who is already married or they love their work too much to think about getting married, remain single. The growth of the dwarf population is therefore very slow, and if a disaster strikes, its survival is at risk.
