Seryn Balme

Seryn, Adric’s mother, embodies grace, strength, and devotion to both her family and the Nemanoi way of life. Her love for her son is deep and unwavering, making her role in his banishment one of quiet heartbreak. Yet, as is custom among the Nemanoi, she follows her husband Kusi’s decisions without question, placing tradition and unity above her personal anguish.

In a poignant and bittersweet moment, Seryn met with Adric to reclaim the family brooch—a symbol of his severed ties to the family. With tears in her eyes and a voice filled with both sorrow and pride, she said her goodbyes. Her gentle touch and quiet wisdom conveyed more than words ever could, leaving an indelible mark on Adric’s heart as he prepared for his life beyond Nemani.
