Born and raised on the vibrant planet of Nemani, Adric grew up steeped in the rich traditions of his people, where faith and honesty are not just virtues but the very foundation of life. As a young man, he chose a different path, leaving behind the certainty of his family’s legacy to serve aboard Alliance starships. This decision was not without cost, but it marked the beginning of a journey that would see him face challenges far greater than he could have imagined.
As the first officer aboard The Bright Light, Adric’s leadership and keen moral compass guided his crew through some of the most pivotal moments in recent galactic history. His courage was tested in ways few could endure—confronting truths that shook the very foundation of his beliefs while standing firm in his commitment to integrity and truth. His pivotal role in the historic contact with Captain Elendril of the Solar Destiny brought hope and unity to worlds long separated by barriers of misunderstanding and isolation. And now as he serves aboard the Electhor his legacy continues with aid work in the Myrios universe.

Mental characteristics
Personal history
Adric lived on his home planet of Nemani for the first 16 years of his life, then went to the Galactic Space Academy where he graduated top of his class. He was chosen to serve on the Bright Light under Captain Raki and served for the mandatory 7 years. He then returned to his homeworld only to discover that his religion was faulty and he decided to continue to serve in the Alliance fleet. He now serves as First Officer on the Electhor working with the scientist to restore planets in the Myrios universe who are recovering from 2500 years of Itherian rule.
Education
10 years of apprenticeship for glass blowing under the master of Nemanoi glass blowing Kusi. 2 years of Space academy and 7 years service experience onboard the BrightLight.
Employment
Currently serving on the Electhor as first officer.

Adric does not lie. Even a small white lie sends him into a panic and anyone could know he was trying to lie.

Savvies & Ineptitudes
Adric has an uncanny ability to be brutally honest with people without hurting feelings.
He cannot lie and if he tries it is hilarious because he is so bad at it. As a result he expects that others are just as honest and often misunderstands when a shipmate or other acquaintance tells a white lie to save face or feelings. He tends to take everything at face value. Christine helps him work on this over the course of the story. She also helps him protect against being taken advantage of for this trait.
Likes & Dislikes
Adric dislikes the cold to the extent that he will opt for hard or menial work indoors rather than going into the snow and ice.
He likes Christine, Tika, and Pineapple.
Hygiene
Adric is a clean person and likes to keep his workspace efficient and well organized. His quarters are a shining example of how he likes to keep things.

Adric will be remembered for reuniting the Nemanoi and the Byni and for helping many people in the Myrios universe.

Contacts & Relations
Adric has a thing for Christine and this will develop slowly over the course of the story.
Family Ties
Adric was disinherited by his father Kusi. His mother says she will try to stay in touch if his father allows it. He also has a sister Lyara who is now solely responsible to carry on the family business, so is probably not very happy with him.
Religious Views
Adric is in crisis. He recently discovered that his god Volti is actually just a historic figure from a distant planet.
Mannerisms
Gentle and Calm with very infrequent outbursts of emotion. Meditation helps Adric control his emotions.
Hobbies & Pets
Tika is Adric's pet Kivu. She is a pocket pet and often accompanies him on the bridge or other duty posts. She is loved by many but is fiercely loyal to Adric and doesn't usually allow others to hold her.
Speech
Adrics speech patterns are quiet and gentle usually.
Adric will still say the things that he was raised saying and hearing. "Volti guide you", or "May the Watcher See All." The official greeting is "The Watcher Sees Us,"
Adric generally uses the mobile translator rather than trying to learn other languages.
