Kentrolis
The capital city of the Itherian Empire. It is located on Itheria Prime and fills most of the planet. The military citadel and other military offices and HQ buildings can be found in Kentrolis.
Demographics
There is very little diversity in Kentrolis. The Itherians are xenophobic so only Itherians are on their planets. The upper class is prevalent and the lower class lives in the slums of the city around the edges. Most of the middle class are serving in the military or managing industry on the offworlds.
Government
Kentrolis is the capital city of the empire and so is run by the emperors closest aids and generals. It is a place filled with corruption and espionage.
Defences
The city is fortified with a satellite network for planetary defense and also walls, moats, and towers guard the center of the city where the palace grounds are located.
Industry & Trade
There is a huge shipping yard where resources from the offworlds are collected and distributed through out the Itherian homeworlds.
Points of interest
The palace grounds are beautifully landscaped and the palace itself is an amazing architectural feat.
Architecture
The palace is built of marble with huge round pillars and grand entrances. The marble floors are ornamented simply but beautifully and the ceilings and pillar tops are ornamented with intricate fillagree and sculptured pieces. There are many large windows.
The rest of the city looks much more modern but most things have a Greek Earth feel to them.
Geography
The city is built on a huge plain. There are mountains to the East and a river runs through the middle of the city. A series of bridges cross the river so traffic can travel to both sides of the city.
Climate
The climate is sunny and warm, often even hot. The people can often be seen basking in the sun.
Natural Resources
The Itherians have intentionally used other planets resources instead of damaging their pristine homeworlds. Now that the empire has fallen they will need to find and begin using the natural resources of their worlds but the area around Kentrolis will likely be the last place to be damaged with industry. The people of Kentrolis are adamant that their views and vacationing places not be ruined.
