In The Ward, the unique geography and presence of various species have resulted in a rich tapestry of cultures, nations, and conflicts. The Seat of the Gods and its surrounding lands are central to this world, both physically and in terms of their impact on the societies that inhabit the area. While humans have established their dominance due to their ability to wield magic, they still face constant challenges from other species and their own internal struggles. Society in The Ward is heavily influenced by the six Divines who oversee the affairs of this pocket dimension. Though the Watcher's church, which worships the Watcher and the six Divines, is the most widespread religion, smaller sects dedicated to individual Divines add diversity and complexity to the world's religious landscape. Their presence has resulted in various conflicts, such as secret Harsis cultists attempting to free their imprisoned deity.   Across The Ward, humans must also contend with external threats like the giant sentient birds, goblins, hobgoblins, and other creatures that populate the realm. These encounters have shaped the cultures, alliances, and rivalries that define human interactions. The inhabitants of The Ward must constantly navigate these challenges to maintain their societies and ensure their survival.   The ongoing conflicts and mysteries within The Ward, such as the expanding Feywilds, the magic drought in the Northlands, and the Bandit-King Zaata's destructive ambitions, provide ample opportunities for adventure and intrigue. As the inhabitants of The Ward face these challenges, they must rely on their resourcefulness, alliances, and the guidance of the six Divines who govern this world.
