Golden Acorns
Golden acorns—some see them as symbols of luck, others as harbingers of misfortune. These rare treasures are said to be gifts from Beenlost, the little god of mischief and chaos, often taking the form of a white squirrel. They say Beenlost walks where he pleases, never where you expect him, and always vanishes when you want him to stay.
The golden acorns hold a touch of his magic, serving as tokens—calling cards, if you will—for chaos itself.
- Toss it once, and you might find your way home.
- Toss it twice, and you might see double.
- Toss it thrice, and you may summon he who is forgotten.
"By far the cutest force of nature i have had the pleasure of encountering, i dont know why everyone is so afraid of them, they always are nice with me!"~Laemin
"You cannot forsee any interaction with this being. Expect every word to be listened to for the mention of its name, even if it isnt their name. They are benevolent in their veiws yet malevolent in this gifts."~Oracle Somme
Staring into the distance with his cig alight smoke drifting in the air "If only youd seen what ive seen. hes a great ally if your willin to outweigh his cost." his eye turning to the camera a darkness settling in "I dont dare get on his bad side...Ever" ~ Brad Wintersprig (we are unsure what a camera is though)

Mechanics & Inner Workings
Imbued with the magic of a god of chaos, these tokens are both highly sought after and feared. Dangerous to possess, they hold an unpredictable power, much like Beenlost himself. The golden acorns work by being tossed into the air, but beware—if one is dropped and bounces, its magic may trigger without warning.
These little nuggets of chaos are as fickle as their maker, scattering trouble and wonder in equal measure.
History
Over the ages, many have come into possession of the coveted golden acorns. Among the most notable owners are Brad Wintersprig, Kiki Lightwood, Baresh Sturmen, Veil Moon-King, and Cole Willingham.
Of these, Cole Willingham stands out as the most infamous. He once managed to banish Beenlost—and the bag of golden acorns—into another dimension, silencing the chaos for a time. However, such delicate balances are never meant to last. It was only a matter of time before someone tipped the scales of fate, returning both Beenlost and his magic to the lands—to the utter chagrin of everyone who remembered the havoc he wrought.
The golden acorns have left their mark across history, bringing both fortune and misfortune to those who dare to use them. Their unpredictable power has altered destinies, toppled kingdoms, and raised the humble to glory—only to cast them back down again.
Beenlost himself seems to delight in the chaos his creations sow, watching with glee as lives unravel or fortunes shift on the whim of an acorn’s magic. To him, the turmoil of others is the ultimate amusement, and his laughter echoes in the wake of every calamity.
Significance
These golden acorns are said to come from a sacred oak tree in Mothalisa, guarded by the fearsome Gorefang Lapin—a whole fluffle of them. These rabbit-like creatures are fiercely territorial and viciously protective of the oak.
Not even the Fey dare venture into the grove, for the Gorefangs allow no intruders. They attack anyone who is not their sovereign—or, more precisely, anyone who is not Beenlost himself. The rabbits bear the mark of his white paw on their foreheads, a sign of their loyalty to the mischievous god.
Behold a golden acorn in all its shimmering glory, brimming with untamed magic. These enigmatic tokens are rare treasures, radiating the essence of chaos and mischief. Each acorn glows faintly, its surface etched with faint patterns that shift like ripples in water. Once used, they vanish back into Beenlost’s Magic Bag of Chaos, a bottomless satchel said to hold an uncountable supply of these unpredictable artifacts.

Rarity
These tokens are exceedingly rare, and once given, they must be used with great care. They carry the trickery of Beenlost and perhaps a hint of Athos, the god of luck. Once spent, the golden acorns vanish, returning to the bag Beenlost keeps close at hand. It’s said he always knows exactly how many golden nuts he possesses.

This is a great idea and it made me think of Puck from Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream and the Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and I would love to hear some more detailed good and bad luck stories and why the squirrel is doing it? Does it really just want to cause chaos, does it want to punish someone or does it really want to bring someone some good luck? And I really like your painting.
All the quotes are from my players during session, Beenlost is a force of chaos he has only been made worse by things the players have done to him. I will write more about how he got his wings. I am glad you like him. There are good stories he can help but sometimes he has price for helping and its suffering.
