Ship: SCV Leviathon

The Leviathon is a fully modified Ship Class: Battlecruiser that has been welded together for brutal deep space travel. It is only rumors, though some claim to have spotted it in the depths of the Hersperus Nebula. It is claimed that the Court of Scavs built and hid the fearsome ship after the last Krasian raid to fend off enemy forces.   The Leviathon's elongated frame gives it a distinct and imposing presence. Its original design has been modified extensively with additional armor plating and reinforced hull sections to withstand the rigors of combat. The ship's front section is a sight to behold and features a unique and fearsome modification. Massive pieces of metal jut out horizontally from the ship's bow, forming a split section that creates a menacing appearance and serves a specific purpose: ramming. These protruding metal pieces, often referred to as "Ramspires," are carefully crafted and reinforced to withstand the tremendous forces involved in high-speed collisions. Their jagged and menacing appearance is intended to intimidate adversaries and strike fear into their hearts. The Court of Scavs, renowned for their resourcefulness and salvage expertise, meticulously salvaged and repurposed materials to create this fearsome front section, which has become a symbol of their rebellious and unconventional approach to combat.   The Leviathon's reconstructed battleship design showcases the Court of Scavs' ingenuity and their ability to repurpose and revitalize forgotten technologies. The ship's systems have been upgraded and enhanced, with salvaged components and advanced modifications that improve its offensive and defensive capabilities.   Operated by the skilled and determined members of the Court of Scavs, the Leviathon represents their defiance against established powers and their commitment to reclaiming lost technology and resources. It serves as a symbol of resistance and a vessel that strikes fear into the hearts of their adversaries. The Leviathan stands as a testament to the resourcefulness and ingenuity of the Court of Scavs, utilizing reclaimed technologies to create a formidable warship. With its powerful propulsion, defensive capabilities, ramming mechanism, diverse weaponry, advanced sensors, and salvage facilities, it embodies the organization's commitment to survival, resistance, and reclamation in the face of adversity.

Crew Positions

Captain

The Captain is the commanding officer of the Leviathan. They make critical decisions, provide strategic direction, and coordinate the ship's overall operations. The Captain is responsible for maintaining crew morale, overseeing mission objectives, and representing the ship in diplomatic or high-level negotiations.

Helm and Navigation

The Helm and Navigation station is responsible for piloting the Leviathan and navigating through space. The crew member at this station operates the ship's control systems, ensuring precise maneuvering during combat engagements, executing evasive maneuvers, and plotting courses for travel and exploration.

Tactical Officer

The Tactical Officer manages the ship's weapons systems and combat operations. They coordinate with the Captain and other crew members to analyze enemy threats, develop battle strategies, and operate the ship's offensive and defensive weaponry. The Tactical Officer's role involves target acquisition, firing solutions, and coordinating with other crew members during combat situations.

Chief Engineer

The Chief Engineer oversees the maintenance, repair, and operation of the ship's systems. They are responsible for the ship's engines, power distribution, and ensuring that all critical systems are functioning optimally. The Chief Engineer troubleshoots technical issues, coordinates repair teams, and ensures that the ship's systems are running smoothly, especially during combat situations.

Communications Officer

The Communications Officer is responsible for managing external communications and internal shipboard communications. They handle long-range communications with other ships, coordinate distress signals, and ensure efficient communication between different stations and crew members on board the Leviathan. The Communications Officer also handles data encryption and decryption to secure sensitive information.

Science Officer

The Science Officer oversees the ship's scientific endeavors, including data analysis, sensor operations, and research. They interpret sensor data, analyze astronomical phenomena, and provide valuable insights into the environment and potential threats. The Science Officer also assists in deciphering alien technologies, studying new discoveries, and aiding in strategic decision-making based on their expertise.

Medical Officer

The Medical Officer is responsible for the health and well-being of the crew. They provide medical care, perform surgeries, and manage the ship's sickbay. The Medical Officer ensures the crew's physical and mental health, manages medical supplies, and is prepared to handle any medical emergencies that may arise during combat or exploration.   These are just a few examples of the key stations on board the Leviathan. Additional crew members may include gunners, security officers, navigators, technicians, and support staff, depending on the ship's size and mission requirements. Each station plays a vital role in the ship's overall functioning and contributes to the success of the Leviathan's missions.

Propulsion

The Leviathan is equipped with an advanced propulsion system that combines conventional thrusters with experimental utopian-based drives salvaged from captured Krasian Meritocracy vessels. This unique hybrid system allows for both reliable sublight maneuverability and the ability to traverse vast distances through faster-than-light travel.

Weapons & Armament

The standout feature of the Leviathan is its formidable ramming mechanism. The ship's front section, known as the "Ramspear," is reinforced with specially designed alloys and kinetic dampeners, allowing it to withstand the immense forces generated during high-speed collisions. The Ramspear can be used as a devastating weapon, capable of piercing through enemy vessels and inflicting substantial damage. Armor and defense

The Leviathan boasts an array of defensive systems to protect itself in the heat of battle. Reinforced armor plating and energy shielding provide enhanced protection against enemy fire. The ship is also equipped with advanced countermeasure systems, including point-defense turrets and electronic warfare capabilities to disrupt enemy targeting and tracking systems.

Sensors

The Leviathan features an advanced sensor suite that provides comprehensive situational awareness. It includes long-range scanners, advanced gravitational sensors, and electromagnetic spectrum analyzers. These sensors aid in detecting potential threats, scouting for resources, and identifying enemy vessels from a distance.

Additional & auxiliary systems

Reflecting the Court of Scavs' expertise in salvage operations, the Leviathan incorporates specialized facilities for salvaging and repairing damaged spacecraft. It has designated hangar bays and repair docks equipped with robotic arms, advanced nanotech-based repair systems, and specialized equipment to salvage and repurpose components from disabled or destroyed vessels.
