Session 9: The Hausaga Syndicate Report
General Summary
New Avon Downtime
Everyone had a few days of relaxing downtime on New Avon. After each experienced a similar, but potentially disturbing, dream they all accomplished small side-tasks. Anna created 2 more Tear Gas Grenades (with the cost of 20 credits for parts), Dash interrogated the captured Syndicate boys, Li practiced his meditation and centering rituals, Jason befriended and practiced melee combat with Chiara, and Kyra checked Jason's blood for Utopia traces while investigating the planet her Uncle Barr-Barr called from. Warren was mentally absent and rested in his rooms (AFK). They each, save Anna, celebrated during the town's Transcendance Festival festivities. Dash met a lovely woman and Jason narrowly avoided a situation involving a "lady of the night" using his cluelessness.The Dropship's Arrival
The Dropship arrived bearing the Hausaga Syndicate's thugs coming to retrieve the team "shaking down" New Avon Starport. Dash killed the 2 non-helpful thugs at Georgie-boy's request (to cover up his collusion). The Crew had a change of heart upon seeing the size of the Light Cruiser and decided to try and trick the Syndicate instead of fight them. Anna and Kyra began desparately working on faking footage of the original gang of Syndicate Thugs leaving the station while Jason protected them. Li and Dash ran to Aris to prepare her for the false tale that "The Syndicate came, we repaired the datapad, they bribed Kennio to give it to them and lie to the Syndicate so they could sell it, he refused and they killed him, and she let them take it to not be killed.". With their aid, the thugs that eventually came (despite the rain and Syndicate: Willy the Wisp injuring his leg somehow) about 5 minutes behind them. Anna finished her mission just in time with Kyra's help and they were able to send the footage to "verify" their story to Aris Scoxand as well as modify it to add the additional 3 "thugs" that they forgot (using hats to obscure their unaltered faces). The ruse seemed to work as the Thugs stormed off in a rage. The thugs approached Portmaster of New Avon: Jimmy Dickens while the Crew celebrated, though Jason was around to hear the incident and intervene. A dog, Skippy, also smacked into Willy's leg further injuring him. The Wisp struck the dog with a Neural Whip and killed the poor creature. After this tragedy, they accosted the Portmaster who had no knowledge of the faked Singleton Conglomerate cruiser that supposedly stopped by a couple of days prior. Anna, being briefed by Jason, hurried to work and alter his records to show that there WAS a cruiser there despite his lack of recollection. He passed the information along and the Thugs left in an outrage, screaming about catching and killing those damned traitors. The crew took the opportunity to "leave while the getting was good" after the Ship: Broken Chrysanthemum left, apparently to track the Singleton cruiser. They headed out of the Asteroid field to make the Planing jump towards the Hersperus Nebula "Graveyard". They were left with some downtime mid-travel. Anna worked on the ship some, Li plotted the future jump, Dash researched the names he was given by Fate further, Jason continued attempting to bond with Chiara and even gained her respect after besting her in a fight once, and Kyra tested out Jason's blood.The Nebula
The Crew was dropped out of Z-Space suddenly with the Nebula having killed all Ship systems. There seemed to be an active opposition to Ship's systems far greater than any standard Nebula or EMP interference as the crew worked together to keep the ship afloat and steer it through the heavy, dangerous asteroid belt. They were able to do so successfully despite several bumps, scrapes, and close calls with massive asteroids. They came out of the Asteroid field into a massive field of dead ships known only as "the Graveyard".Rewards Granted

Side-Plot: Syndicate Thug Interrogation - Shot Dony and Frankie in the head. Georgie-boy is still on the ship in a room with the promise that he'd be let go at the next stop.
