Session 6: Rise of the Skittering Horrors Report
General Summary
The scenario picked up with the introduction of Tumarian Li (Thomas) having been the recipient of the desperate radio call from Jason moments before. He stole a TX1 Taxi from a distracted driver and floored it up to the ceiling. He spotted Jason’s blade cutting through the metal to fall through the hole and rushed over to it.
Dash and Jason jumped out just as a flood of Skitters rushed to them and they zipped away as Jason tossed a chunk of Utopia at the ceiling and Dash shot it to cause a large explosion. The Skitters began swarming the ceiling and dripping down to the hanger below.
Meanwhile, the Life Support Team noticed a blockage detected in the Air Vents heading towards them. They fled the room immediately, calling in 2 guards to face the 2 Skitters coming out of the Vent shafts as they ran down the hallway. They hotwired a HoverCart carrying Cargo (which seems to be some sort of smuggled weapons or ammunition) and tore off down the hallway. Anna started kicking crates off the back as they flew. Very quickly, Kyra’s lack of experience shone through as she careened into a Sanitation Truck. The sewage spewed all over the top of the HoverCart, causing Kyra to take her hands off the wheel. Unfortunately, the spiral continued as they smacked into a wall, rolled end over end, and were thankfully thrown from the HoverCart as it exploded behind them (possibly due to the ammunition in the boxes). They were all injured during the crash.
The stolen Taxi with the others zipped masterfully through the thoroughfare and hallways, despite a couple of bumps and dents, and survived a surprise ambush from 2 Skitters that jumped onto the cart mid-air. They dispatched both and continued on towards the heat control Room, but almost ran into a woman standing up near dorm wreckage in the middle of the hall. Li performed an excellent maneuver to narrowly miss her, but Dash realized it was Kyra. They continued on until Anna called over the radio that they are leaving the people who know how to fix the broken Heat Shield Consoles behind.
Fortunately, they all were retrieved and grouped up as the heat continued to rise in the Star Forge. They turned down a hallway the HoverCarts weren’t meant to fit down and almost made it until the cart clipped a wall. Li shoved the front of the cart into the ground, causing it to grind to a halt as they all jumped out successfully (except for Warren who faceplanted out of the cart).
They encountered Chiara and 1 other guard holding the doorway with 3 injured guards behind them. 2 dead technicians and Rewalt lay inside of the room swarming with Skittering Horrors. Jason heroically ran in, Dash focused on killing the Skitters continuing to either damage or possibly eat the console, Kyra fired at several before realizing their weak spots and calling them out, Li made short work of several of the Skitters approaching the doorway crew, Warren triggered his suit’s ‘electroshock’ ability and fried several, and Anna tossed a Smoke Bomb, knocked one unconscious with a dart, and ran into the room to fix the console. They managed to clear the room, Jason tore a chunk of metal off the ruined HoverCart and held it against the vent to prevent more, and Anna took control of the Heat Shield Controls and began to shut the shields once again.

Xerxes - Requested that he fire his massive Coilgun into the Skitters on the Ceiling. He refused saying the gun may blast a hole all the way through and compromise the Star Forge’s Integrity.
Chiara - Met during the Battle of the Heat Shield Control Room. Fought alongside them.
Rewalt - Part of the original team that was ambushed. Heavily wounded near the console.
