Nibian 6 Outpost
The Nibian 6 Outpost has been around for just over a decade. It follows the traditional FreeST Standard Outpost configuration.
Layout and Features
Statue
At the front of the Hanger stands a large metallic statue erected 7:3:2352GS. The forefront figure has an eyepatch, holds a pistol by his side in one hand, and seems to be in a pose preparing for action. Behind him, two individuals with pickaxes, one man and one woman, stand back to back with heads turned to look over his shoulder on either side. At the base of the statue reads a Plaque: "We Remember Our Fallen". Many names trail down 2 columns with the name Portmaster Daron Haught centered at the top.Amphitheater
A small Amphitheater has been erected in one corner of the facility. It can fit around 75-100 individuals and is used for everything from performances from the nearby Nibian 3, group meetings, trainings, and local team presentations.Massive Trees
Nibian 6 is unique in boasting rows of towering trees that are growing healthily inside of the Dome. Several of these dozens of trees are rumored to be nearing the height of the dome within the next few years should their rate of growth continue. Any travellers or locals will tell you to thank Juda Longarc, the local orphan continuing the botany tradition of her mother. She claims her mother found a secret in the soil of Nibian 6 that inspired her to lace a shard of Utopia into it to cause incredible growth in plant life.Dinokaya Medical Research Medical Offices
A separate habitation dome has been connected to provide for a series of medical offices once belonging to Doctor Adrian Rastin. Since the revelation of his mistreatment and experimentation on miners in early 2352, Dinokaya Medical Research has been rejected from entry into the Outpost and the offices stand empty. This has deprived the local miners with immediate medical attention, but this has still received unanimous support from workers according to Supervisor Taran Koerner.The Miner's Mutations
In 1:1:2352GS, the miners began to experience severe mutations. 30+ miners perished in the incident along with the current Portmaster at the time, Daron Haught. Crew members of the ship Salter's Peppers were said to be influential in preventing further loss of life. Reports revealing the mutations were an intentional experiment by Doctor Adrian Rastin of Dinokaya Medical Research were released, leading to the removal of the DMR facility present aboard the Outpost.Architecture
