Alcyone

Alcyone is a lush, green world located in the Alcyone System near the center of the galaxy within Terran Space. Alcyone is known for its stunning natural beauty and rich, diverse ecosystems.
The planet is home to a large population of Terran citizens that refer to themselves as Alcyonians. The Alcyonians tend to be a peaceful and highly spiritual people who have lived in harmony with their world's natural environment since their colonization. They have long been regarded as some of the galaxy's foremost experts on environmental preservation and sustainable living.
This peaceful existence has come at a cost, however. The planet has heavily relied on the ATS for military support and defense against a myriad of pirates, slavers, and rebel forces that have sought to take its people and resources over the centuries.

Fauna & Flora

Alcyone's vast oceans are teeming with life, including several species of enormous, sentient whales. These whales are revered by the Alcyonians as symbols of wisdom and spirituality, and are considered to be sacred creatures by many.
