Squall's End City Center Park
The park in front of Squall's End's municipal buildings is a well-tended lawn with several walking paths through it. The center of the park has a large bronze statue of a half-elven woman on a horse with the hindquarters of a dolphin, with a placard explaining that the woman is Shayella Fogstep, founder of the trading post that eventually became Squall's End. Her statue is in the middle of a circular path, with other paths coming in from the North East, North West, South West and South East. At each of the cardinal directions, each between two of the walking paths 10 feet back from the path surrounding the statue of Shayella, there are 4 pedestals of granite, each with a bronze plaque on the side of it facing Shayella's statue. The plaques are blank, and there is no evidence that there has ever been a statue on any of the pedestals.
No one in Squall's End knows what the pedestals are for - not what was intended to be there, or what might have once been there. People believe it might be related to The Displacement , but no one can be certain.
