Striker Droid

The Striker was designed in the mid stage of the Sirasion Alliance war as a solution to deal with the increasingly heavier armoured tanks the humans were fielding. Made specifically as a mobile anti vehicle gun, the Striker boasts impressive fire power and extremely long range.

Power Generation

The Striker uses a standard war droid power source very similar to the Spider Droid's, though configured in a different way for more power to be drawn from its reactor at once. Instead of multiple smaller power modules the Striker has four larger ones for more effective operation of its main cannon.

Propulsion

To save on weight the Striker only has four legs compared to the spider droid, it features a different design of leg blade for a more balanced flight model, the blades turning the droids silhouette into more of a disk. Some variations are also equipped with a deployable tempered protosteel blades so it can become equally as much of an airborne whirling dervish as its spider droid cousin.

Weapons & Armament

The Striker is armed with two main weapons, a rapid fire anti personnel cannon and its main weapon; a BX-12 high penetration plasma cannon. This weapon was built specifically for the Striker droid and is designed as a durable and rugged anti vehicle weapon. It has a long effective range and is designed with duradite in mind, the BX-12 shots use a super heated plasma blast that cuts through armour. If the initial impact fails the plasma assumes a liquid form once it comes into contact with a solid surface, continuing to burn at five thousand degrees Celsius, eventually melting through, then going on to wreck the inside of the vehicle.

Armor and defense

Like many other war droids, the Striker is equipped with a shield generator, though due to the way its reactor manages power the shield's strength tends to fluctuate when the main weapon is in use.

Sensors

Equipped with specialised long range visual sensors in addition to the war droid three hundred sixty degree sensor system, the Striker's sensors are made especially for pinpointing targets at range.
