Flare Valley

The location now known as Flare Valley was once a massive planet. Little is known about the world before it was torn a sunder by what is only presumed to be a greatly catastrophic galactic event, save that it was the High Tekno's Main base and its name roughly translates as "star eye" or "star watcher". From some very obscure references from rare High Tekno documents, the planet is believed to have had a fairly thick atmosphere and was temperate in climate. Either way, some force managed to destroy the planet entirely, possibly the result of an experiment gone wrong, turning it into an asteroid field.
later on during the great uprising, the The Galactic Rebellion found the base. It was so far out the way of the fighting it was considered the perfect place to host a major command center. The Asteroid field was given the code name "Flare Valley" by the core Rebels in order to confuse any Sirasion spies or hackers. There were 5 larger asteroids that were hollowed out and used as their main Shipyard, Operations, Communications, Tech and recreation/supplies. The smaller asteroids became defensive emplacements with concealed turrets and hangars, or filled with explosives and used as mines.
