Paladin

A warrior that draws power from the strength of their own conviction. This conviction is centered around an Oath with specific tenants that the Paladin must abide by. While Paladins can be related to a specific deity, such as Kima being related to Bahamut, they are distinct from Clerics in that their devotion is to their Oath, not necessarily the deity.
Even if they were to derive their oath from the teachings or tenants of their deity, they would not follow that deity if it ordered something against the paladin's oath (or, at the very least, this would be a source of EXTREME conflict for the paladin).
